BitPay debit card now compatible with Apple Pay – Great news for iPhone and Apple device owners as they can now use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to make payments via BitPay.
Even with its popularity and gains, lots of people are not yet convinced about bitcoin especially because its holders have little opportunity to actually spend their crypto, because only a minority of vendors support this type of transaction.
However, with this recent development, millions of Apple Pay users can now access and use their bitcoin to pay for goods and services. Many other companies are exploring ways of taking advantage of bitcoin rise, this is demonstrated by the interest of payment giant PayPal in unveiling a new digital wallet that allows account holders to buy, sell and transact using a range of cryptocurrencies.

Apple pay now supports BitPay debit card after which it converts your crypto holdings into local fiat currency (e.g. USD, GBP, AUD) when a payment is made.
According to BitPay, “customers will be able to make in-app, contactless and online purchases using Bitcoin, via Apple smartphones, tablets, computers and smartwatches.”
