Donald Trump Tax Returns Released – US former President Donald Trump fought so hard to keep these tax records secret for many years but it is now finally in the hands of the New York district attorney.
Trump’s lawyers had exhausted their options trying not to get Donald Trump tax returns released but the Supreme Court’s verdict is out.
Hours after the supreme court ruled to deny Trump’s final push to keep the records private, the New York district attorney has confirm the receipt of the records on Monday.
This is millions of pages of documents containing Trump’s tax returns spanning from January 2011 to August 2019. It is said to also contain financial statements, engagement agreements, and all documents relating to the preparation and review of tax returns, and work papers and communications related to the tax returns.
This is a huge win for the Democrat stronghold but Trump has vowed to fight on. In his statement after receiving the NOT GUILTY verdict from the senate impeachment trial. He decried the continuous prosecutions and vowed to fight on.
New York District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s investigation borders on tax fraud, insurance fraud, and other schemes to defraud, including potentially providing false information to financial institutions or banks about the value of certain buildings and assets by Trump and the Trump Organization.
New York prosecutors are now looking to dig deeper and determine whether any of the state laws have been violated.
