Facebook Stories Archive ensures your Facebook stories are automatically be archived after they disappear from your profile. The Facebook stories are the vertical card section of the news feed page. It is located at the top of the page below the profile picture icon.

This section consists of the visual and textual events posted by your Facebook friends. It also has a section with the label “Add to the story,” which is the first card in the story; you can use it to view the Facebook stories archive, whose steps are outlined below.   • From your desktop screen, open your preferred web browser.
  • Head over to the Facebook official website.
  • Sign in to your Facebook account.
  • Then click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the Facebook main page.
  • Click on more below your cover photo, select “Story Archive” from the pop-up option below the profile page.
  • Now click on settings on the top right corner.
  • Finally, under the story archive setting, click on Turn on story archive to “turn your Facebook story archive on” or Turn off story archive to “switch it off”.

Note: If you delete a photo or video from your story before it disappears, it won’t be saved to your archive.

  • Open the Facebook mobile app on your phone.
  • On the Facebook main page, Tap on the menu in the top-right corner of Facebook, Then tap on your name.
  • This will open a profile page; tap on more below your Facebook cover photo.
  • Then, tap on Archive, then tap on story archive at the top.
  • Tap on the setting icon in the top right, then tap on settings.
  • Finally, tap on the toggle action button to effect your desired selection either “on” or “off” save to the archive.

Note: If you delete a photo or video from your story before it disappears, it won’t be saved to your archive.

How to see Story archive in Facebook messenger

Besides the Facebook app, the Facebook messenger has a feature that enables users to add and view stories in the Messenger app. To do so, follow the steps outlined below:

  • Open Facebook Messenger and tap on your profile picture in the top left corner.
  • Scroll down and open the story options under preferences.
  • On the story page, tap “View Story Archive” to access your old stories.
