Tech billionaire and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is set to team up with renowned US rapper and the Tidal CEO Jay-Z in a whopping 23 million euro investment in Bitcoin for Africa and India.
This is contained in Jack’s tweet earlier on 12-02-2021 explaining how the endowment named ₿trust will help fund #Bitcoin development in Africa and India. According to Jack, the fund will be set up as a blind irrevocable trust with zero direction from either him or Jay z.

He however did not provide any more details other than an open application for three board members to start.
This investment announcement comes off the heels of recent controversies from the permanent ban in cryptocurrency transactions in India and Nigeria (Africa’s leading economy and largest population).
On the other hand, MasterCard a leading payment gateway is embracing crypto currencies and Tesla has recently announced that they’ll be accepting #Bitcoin payments for its EVs and have also invested $1.5 billion in crypto.
Finally, could this investment plan potentially convinces the countries to lift the ban? We’ll keep you updated…
