White House deputy press secretary T.J Ducklo resigns – The White House deputy press secretary T.J Ducklo has resigned after he threatened a reporter who asked about his relationship with another reporter.
In a statement by the White House press secretary Jen Psaki, “We accepted the resignation of T.J Ducklo after a discussion with him this evening.” He also added that “This conversation occurred with the support of the White House chief of staff.”

This has been a developing story since Vanity Fair story published on Friday and since then Ducklo has been on a one week without pay suspension.

According to a white house source, President Biden became aware of the situation with Ducklo late Saturday afternoon and the President is said to support his decision to resign.
White house press secretary Psaki said Ducklo had apologized to the reporter he threatened. Politico’s Tara Palmeri, who is the alleged victim here had reported on Tuesday that Ducklo had been in a romantic relationship with Axios reporter Alexi McCammond.
According to the Vanity Fair story; Ducklo had threatened Palmeri over her piece. He also vowed he would “destroy her” if she goes ahead to publish the story.
Finally, Ducklo has also released his own statement on Twitter saying, in part, “I know this was terrible. I know I can’t take it back. But I also know I can learn from it and do better.”
