Before now there were various rumors going around about the features and looks of the new Apple watch. With the unveiling, all the rumors have been laid to rest and we now have a new apple watch to enjoy. Apple has always been known to be innovative with their products and we’re glad to say they didn’t disappoint this time. Like the iPhone XS and XS Max which was also unveiled at the event, the Apple Watch Series 4 came with some amazing unique new features.
For the first time since Apple started its watch series in 2014, the Apple Watch Series 4 came with a new design. Apple introduced a larger screen with a bigger case in the new Apple watch. They also retained the classic styling that made the previous Apple watches a big hit. However, it is important to state that the Apple Watch Series 4 is a whole new generation of Apple watches although, with a familiar look as the previous versions, the new Apple watch is well loaded. Some of the new health features of the Apple Watch Series 4 are nothing short of novelty.

It has up to 16 GB internal memory with no option for an external card. The sensors include; Second-Gen optical heart rate sensor, electrical heart sensor, improved accelerometer, gyroscope, and ambient light sensors. Has water resistance up to 50 meters. Its location sensors include; GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, and Galileo.
The amazing Health features of the Apple Watch Series 4
The new Apple watch as we’ve said earlier comes with some novelty healthcare features. The Apple Watch Series 4 can be used to EKG (electrocardiogram). Apple has obtained FDA clearance for this. The idea is to take EKG measurements via the Apple Watch Series 4, store in a PDF and send the report to your doctor. The feature is activated by holding the digital crown of the watch with your finger for about 30 seconds.
Please note that this is not a medical-grade device and thus can’t be a substitute for an actual EKG device. However, it is real and it works! The feature is not immediately available on the Apple Watch Series 4 but it’ll be added via a software up later in the year.
Other amazing health features of the new Apple watch include;
Accidental fall detection: the Apple Watch Series 4 can detect sudden accidental fall through its new accelerometer. If you fall and is unresponsive for 60 seconds, the watch automatically makes emergency calls on your behalf. It also sends messages to the designated emergency contact added on the device. This health feature is enabled by default for users aged 65 and above. For younger users, you can manually enable it.
Another great feature is the irregular heart rhythm warnings: atrial fibrillation and unusually low heart rate can now be easily detected with the Apple Watch Series 4. The device will detect and send warning signals.
